Kirklees Council volunteers inspired after helping us out for a few hours

Volunteers from Kirklees Council were inspired after spending a day working alongside our own brilliant volunteers.

The council’s Adults Transformation team spent half a day at our warehouse in Lockwood and were amazed at the scale of what we do day in and day out.

The team’s Service Development Manager, Rebecca Morrison, said: “We were amazed by the size of the operation and how well co-ordinated it all was. We worked on sorting donations into those clothes and footwear that could be given to other children, those that could be sold in the charity shop and those that could be recycled elsewhere. Nothing goes to waste.

“Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do, for making Kirklees a better place for so many children and for our volunteering opportunity. Truly inspiring. What a wonderfully positive environment.”
